Adorned Narratives: Wearing Our Stories with Pride was a three-day collaborative pop-up co-created by Neelam Mistry and Anisha Parmar at Lab E20 in East London.
The event explored the power of adornment, including clothing, jewellery and meaningful personal objects, as a way of telling stories, celebrating identity and connecting with heritage.
Across the weekend, guests were invited to reflect, create and connect through wellbeing sessions, sharing circles, colour and style activities, moodboarding, jewellery-making, food, art, beauty, fashion and community-led showcases.
At its heart, the event created a warm and safe space for people to feel seen, heard and proud of their stories. Through creativity, culture, dress and adornment, Adorned Narratives encouraged self-expression, healing, connection and pride.
